Let their be done
It looks like gaining importance is the sole purpose of the political parties. The solution does not matter; what matters to them is the problem. Leaving the parliament is as normal as leaving the TV soaps and serials, which could be seen later when re-telecasted. Opposition is not meant to complement the ruling party but to find faults and claim itself better. Constitution makers must have not thought in the intricacies and the manipulations the concept of opposition party could bring. It is kind of funny to me, whenever a party is not in power it claims to resolve an issue more perfectly comparing itself to the ruling party. Funniest of all is when it claims to have all the solutions to the existing problems forgetting the time when it was on the ruling side, limitations of a solution suddenly superseded the possibility of a solution.
On argument at times a common cliché is that I don’t understand politics and take it lot ideally than what it is meant to be taken as. If derogating one’s view is what is meant to be understanding of politics, I am quite happy that I don’t understand it much. It needs no explanation as why no one determines to become a politician as he grows up? Why is that being a politician is kind of legacy in India? Though India had never experienced any uneducated PM or President but the ground level staff is disappointing. A person knowing the people in a constituency is elected. He does take care of his people. The problem comes when he starts taking care of so called his people only. At a point they are forgetful enough to remember that they belong to a state and a country too. Politics then turns up to become selfish and disgusting.
The end of the day, politics turns to be about the importance of oneself which should never go down; both in local and national politics. As rightly said by the Godfather, it is all about power. But beyond all of it what lie, are the sentiments of countless people. Though mostly in doubts , as voting goes on, we believe may be things will improve; may be the intention behind gaining the power will be selfless and clear. Then suddenly some issues which remains close to the heart gallops around in the name of process and system unresolved, brings frustration and vengeance for its own government. To remind you, the sound of the riffles were louder than the banging of your desk in the parliament; your melodramatic representation of political party, stands no regard in front of the hues and cries of the families who lost their members on November 26 massacre in Mumbai. For the sake of humanity do not adulterate the emotions we hold for the people who died and the people who sacrificed their life, with your filthy politics; at least spare them.
Whatever be your steps, the families who have a martyr in their family are not awaiting a posthumous award. Let the deaths be respected without rambling the issue in the name of meeting the international guidelines. Let it not be stretched assuming it to be a time taking process; it hardly took moments to lose their lives; who believed they can change it for us all; let their be done.

In the name of God
We are known to look for God in every stone; we try to please him by sacrificing lives of life stocks; we put lacks of rupees in offerings while the other side of the people stay homeless to keep our promise and then when we are not satisfied we are ready to toss the infant kids from the height to thank the Almighty for his blessing. End of the day no one is sure if God smiled.
I sound like an atheist, don’t I? Well I shall keep you guessing and I will proceed.
How does it sound when I say –“Let the infants wear a bullet-proof vest and then shoot him/her with a shot gun and the condition is, the distance between you and the infant shall be 50 meters”. What if I say this is the way God can be pleased. If anyone agrees with me, I will better put him in place of infants and try out my aim.
I must have narrated a modern way of a ritual that is followed in Sheikh Umar Saheb 'Dargah' in Solpur in Maharashtra.
Here an infant is thrown from the height of 50 meters from the roof of the Dargah and caught on a cloth, and this heinous ritual is followed since 500 years; now match that! The incident that actually was very close to knock off my senses was when a mother, very gleefully after finishing the ritual for his 8 months old kid said that she will bring her child for two other times as she promised to the Almighty! Another believer seemed to bet his life on the SACREDNESS of the ritual and said that not a single child is reported hurt; rather the child grows up stronger. The medical science seems to bet to the other side of it. Any sort of policing does not help as they say that they can fight the people but what about their faith on the ritual. And in India if a single police person turns to be a Hindu there revolting to it, it would be enough to incite a religious riot national wide.
From Maharashtra we move to Gulbarga of Karnataka. Both the states are known for their brotherly attitude along their borders (sarcasm not intended; if you are unaware of the land disputes).
In Gulbarga people are reported to burry children with disability for hours at the time of solar eclipse, because it is supposed to heal them. I wish it were possible but polio (and others too) seems to be quiet resistant to this therapy. Solar eclipse can occur two to five times in a year and the parents are quiet responsible enough not to miss this therapy (even though trauma is visible on their child’s face). It is that they got busy on the polio drop day of their child. State government seem to be ready for the coming solar eclipses not to let this happen again; though it just missed the solar eclipses all the years before. Here again, you may stop people but what about their faith?
Putting the burden of their beliefs on children is no less than child exploitation. These rituals traumatize the child and results to mental imbalance. Dropping an infant from 50 meters can cause minor injuries which can turn up to something incurable later. Polio drops in time sounds like a wonderful and effective substitute to burying children for hours together wishing for a cure. In the name of Almighty doing anything shall not bring about a miracle.
But does it really matter to the country where God seems to reside everywhere from the television adds to the ice formation; a country where praying to God also serves as pardon to crime and shortcut to every possible difficulty; where number of God surpasses the population of the country; everything is a miracle here or else Matrix won’t have come up with the concepts in Bhagwat Gita.
And by the way I am theist.

The Legend Unsatisfied
I almost convinced myself not to write this article till I could justify good enough for it being written. Before I start, I respect Late Dr. Ambedkar, he is a father figure to the entire nation. I must also say if I had to truly honour him, I would use the money for educating the unprivileged children rather than building a statue.
There are so called honourable self imposed father-figure and mother-figure to the nation, who claim to love “Dalit” equally, if not more than the other citizen of the country. A social hierarchy, caste system, as old as one could remember, now kept alive by the politicians only for filling vote banks. These self imposed father-mother figures, who are unmistakeably actively associated with politics, harvest their mean interests by exploiting these people’s ignorance by emotionally attacking their sentiments by calling them “Dalit” in the name of uplifting them, and hence gaining their sympathy, and reminding them how much in distress they are and how much help they need. Sadly the poor people have been falling in their pretence.
I could not believe reading the article stating that the statues of Dr. Ambedkar makes “Dalits” proud, as for them Dr. Ambedkar is Father of the Nation because he was a Dalit and still marked the greatest thing in the history of India. And this is all to support Mayawati’s Rs 2000 crores statue building project. Do we need to be extraordinarily genius to tell how wasteful use of resource it had been? With that money many of the so called Dalits could have improved their living, standard of education, health and what not. But politics needs the identity of DALIT to stay. They need someone whom they can call Dalit and make him feel miserable and exploited. And then become their self-imposed-father-mother-figure.
It seems like a carrot tied to the donkey’s head that it can never reach; like a destitute who has been hungry for a week and yet to believe that his country is progressing. Can Dr. Ambedkar be present between us by erecting statues and keeping the image of downtrodden and unprivileged for the Dalits? The real way he can be alive by first of all stop using “Dalit” and bringing the influx of prosperity into their life.
The dilemma I had regarding this post was, am I writing something that is not known? Actually no. What convinced me to write was the disregard it had been to the dreams of such a fine man who thought that one day there won’t be any Dalits.
Spare this legend the rough angles.

Grade or Degrade
Time to welcome one more bullshit from the leaders of the education system, the grading system. Quoting Mr.Vineet Joshi –“When the students are judged by marks, research shows that in any evaluation system there are minor errors ranging between 5% to 15%. If that be so, then how can we claim that a score of 45 is absolutely error free?” The second reason to introduce grading system is because with the traditional marking system there is unnecessary competition fuelled by parents among children which brings in suicidal tendencies.
To start with, does the grading system actually error free? The grading system that is proposed is based on the marks obtained. When evaluation by marks may have 5% to 15% error then won’t the grading system that is based on marks have error too? So honourable Mr. Vineet Joshi your grading system does not fulfil anything.
Going to the second point, do you think a student will stop aiming for 100 marks just because he or she can have the same grade on getting 95 marks itself? Or do you believe that introducing Grade E (below 33 and which means ‘needs improvement’) will help them to get into better school for higher education? So where does it actually help in reducing undue pressure? And moreover is is not the parents who fuels the unnecessary competition, even schools does that for the sake of reputation.Education institutes are not sage here. In short nothing changes for a student. Your grading system, Mr Vineet Joshi, is nothing more than a change just for namesake.
You education system guys must have not found a place to mock. “Needs improvement”, which is now a substitute of “failing”; are you planning to bring about a revolution with that? Do you guys think all are sitting with a lolly-pop here? May be you must have thought distributing CBSE certificates will decrease the percentage of illiterates in the country. What is that in minds of you guys?
Now let me show you some truths Mr. Joshi. CBSE education system judges a student with just 3 hours of his or her life; 3 hours is the time of one paper in the exam. There is no way to know how well or how bad the students have been the entire year. Can’t there be a marking system to account for that. Very mild attention is provided in project work and its presentation. You guys fail to check that schools’ soul motto is now just to acquire good results from students by any means. Schools on the other hand are not to make a student literate but to impart education; there is a difference between the two, I believe a person at your position you acknowledges that.
Spare me those rough angles Mr. Joshi.

Face the "Sach"
At last it made me smile; “Sach Ka Samna” hosted by Star Plus gets a show cause notice by the government. I think the show got its line a bit wrong. It should invite the politician on the screen and bash them with the questions regarding the corrupt practices they script in the name of the Country and the constitution. One question must be fixed –“What is your Swiss account number?” Let the country see how are the so called leaders are. May be they can be exempted from the questions of their personal life.
The notice issued is about the violation of the good taste and the decency of the show. Sorry but I hate politician as much as Priyanka Chopra would hate lice on her head. But what I hate ever more when politicians talk about decency. I hope some notices of that sort should also be there to abandon the politicians who violate the good taste and the decency of the country and their duty.
I wonder who actually decides which show should run and which should not. Just mentioning a disclaimer before the show gives all the right to few serials to corrupt every relationship on earth. It sounds perfectly ok to that panel when kids of tender age participate and eliminated with broken determination at the end. How about the Splits Villa, Dadagiri and alike are allowed to do whatever in the veil of coolness? Oh! I am sorry; slangs are beeped to maintain the decency right? So thoughtful! Now for a show where a participant is warned before he or she participates about the intensity, and then the participant agrees to be on the centre stage, suddenly is marked as rude because the participant had no idea he or she will be blankly open and often disgustingly. Who is to be blamed; the participant or the show? It becomes the height of hypocrisy when shows like split villa, dadagiri, some disgusting family dramas and reality shows involving tender aged kids becomes an entertainment irrespective of the extent of damage they are doing to a mass of population; and the shows like “Sach Ka Samna” becomes illicit because it revealed the truth for which the participants were already warned?
